PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Machine Shop Helper I to support machine shop operations in Waco, Texas. This entry-level manufacturing position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, and supporting production teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Machine Shop Helper plays a key role in ensuring machine operators have the materials and support needed to maintain efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Production Support

✅ Remove and weigh metal chips and production byproducts

✅ Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

✅ Stage and organize parts in designated areas for processing

✅ Verify and place parts in the correct order and location

✅ Assist machine operators with daily production activities

✅ Support smooth machine shop operations by responding to production needs
Safety & Quality

✅ Report storage issues, material concerns, equipment problems, or machine malfunctions to supervisors

✅ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

✅ Follow all company safety procedures and policies

✅ Support overall production efficiency and workplace organization
Required Qualifications

✔ High School Diploma or GED

✔ Minimum of six (6) months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

✔ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

✔ Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

✔ Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

✔ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Equipment Experience

✔ Ability to operate:

• Forklifts
• Man Lifts

In accordance with OSHA safety standards and company requirements.
Ideal Candidate

⭐ Material handling experience

⭐ Forklift operation experience

⭐ Strong safety mindset

⭐ Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
