Senior Cloud Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a remote position.

The Senior Cloud Engineer will be supporting an ambitious endeavor to reimagine how our customer, the United States Navy, offers cloud services to its stakeholders via its Bluewater Cloud offering. This includes deploying AWS services in a modern, fully automated manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Compose new Terraform code and/or edit existing code for the deployment and management of AWS and GCP resources
• Take an automation-first approach to the administration, deployment, and configuration management of resources deployed in AWS and GCP
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and their AMI lifecycle
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as a member of a highly functioning Agile engineering team
• Create, maintain, and update relevant system documentation as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline and 9+ years of IT experience, or a High School Diploma and 13+ years of relevant IT experience
• 6+ years of relevant experience working with cloud
• Must have an associate-level cloud computing certification (i.e. AWS CSAA or similar)
• Must possess a CompTIA Security+ certification or DoD 8140 equivalent upon hire
• Experience in RHEL OS and/or Windows Server with knowledge in maintaining them
• Ability to script in one or more of the following computer languages: Python, Bash, or Perl
• Familiarity with identity solutions that implement SAML/SSO that leverage a CAC

Preferred Qualifications:

• A professional level CSP certification (AWS CSA-Professional or similar)
• 2+ years of Terraform experience
• Experience working with GitHub or similar system and Git

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
