The responsibilities of the Alarm Monitor include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate Intrusion Detection system, fire alarm system, radio transmitter and receiver, and telephones: Receives incoming fire calls by telephone or through alarm system.
- Maintain daily duty log.
- Conduct and record various checks and verifications.
- Report suspicious activities and persons.
- Questions caller observes alarm register.
- Determines type and number of units to respond to alarms and/or emergencies.
- Relays messages from emergency scene, such as requests for additional help and medical assistance.
- Records date, time, type of call and destination of messages received or transmitted.
- Maintains activity, code, and locator files.
- Perform any other duties of an Alarm Monitor.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This position offers $28.02 per hour base pay plus an additional $4.98 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) benefit for eligible hours worked, for a total compensation value of $33.00 per hour. The Health & Welfare payment is intended to help offset healthcare and related benefit costs.
