This position is a cybersecurity coded position. The employee of this position must attain and maintain the appropriate DoD-approved cybersecurity qualifications applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months of filling the position, IAW DoDM 8140.03.
This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee is expected to meet the functional area certification requirements within the timeframe range of 1 - 5 years from appointment date into the position.

As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ENTARCH) at the NH-2210-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Plan, lead, and manage Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) Enterprise Architecture efforts to align with USTRANSCOM and DoD IT strategy, goals, objectives, and plans.
- Identify gaps between current and target JTMS architecture and outline strategy to transition to target architecture.
- Facilitate analysis of enterprise architectures to identify capability duplication and support implementation of JTMS strategic goals and business transformation efforts.
- Develop plans to eliminate duplication of effort and promote interoperability through integration of existing initiatives.
- Confirm compliance with DoD and USTRANSCOM enterprise architecture policy and recommend policy changes to fit enterprise architecture requirements.
- Prepare and deliver JTMS program-level briefings to convey the program enterprise architecture vision and policies to audiences of all levels, from action officers to General Officer/Senior Executive Service personnel.

- Design and maintain enterprise level systems architecture for large IT initiatives.
- Capture emerging functional and system requirements within enterprise architecture efforts.
- Identify capability gaps and overlaps and develop transition plan to achieve target architecture.
- Collaborate with business and mission partners for impact assessment identifying best practices to achieve organizational goals.
- Enforce and recommend updates to enterprise architecture policies, standards, and best practices.
