PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Technician 3 (I&T) to support the Integration and Test (I&T) Department at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. In this exciting role, you will help perform testing and troubleshooting activities on interceptor and space launch vehicles, contributing to critical aerospace and defense programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine technical functions supporting development engineering activities.
- Test, troubleshoot, modify, fabricate, and assemble electronic and electromechanical systems.
- Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and engineering plans.
- Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and isolate electronic malfunctions to the component level.
- Build prototypes and support environmental and developmental testing activities.
- Collect and document engineering test data.
- Operate diagnostic and development equipment, including:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Volt Meters (DVM)
- Volt-Ohm Meters (VOM)
- Signal generators
- Power supplies
- Follow established procedures and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams to achieve project objectives.
Education & Experience
One of the following is required:
- High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in electronics, avionics, or a related field; OR
- Completion of a formal electronics training program (technical school or military electronics training); OR
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Work instructions
- Electronic schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Technical drawings
- Experience using electronic test equipment, including:
- Digital multimeters (DMM)
- Oscilloscopes
- Signal generators
- Power supplies
- Basic soldering and rework skills (through-hole and/or surface mount).
- Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assemblies, and cable/harness assemblies.
- Hands-on experience assembling, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining electronic systems and subassemblies.
- Experience working in a production, laboratory, depot, aerospace, defense, or field service environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including:
- Microsoft Office applications
- Data entry systems
- Ability to complete electronic travelers and work instructions accurately.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to approximately 25-35 pounds.
- Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection practices.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance if the assignment is extended or converted.
