Appian Senior Developer
Location: Remote
Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a highly skilled Appian Senior Developer to support a federal client in developing and enhancing a custom Appian solution within a secure environment.
In this role, you will lead the continued development of a Fleet Appian custom solution, building on an existing minimum viable product (MVP) and delivering additional custom requirements. You will collaborate closely with functional teams through daily stand-ups, regular Teams communication, and ongoing technical coordination to deliver scalable, secure, and mission-focused application capabilities.

What You'll Do
As an Appian Senior Developer, you will:
- Design, develop, and enhance Appian applications, interfaces, process models, records, and reports supporting federal operations
- Complete development of an existing MVP while implementing additional custom requirements
- Design and implement Appian process models, business rules, and workflow automation solutions aligned with business requirements
- Optimize application performance and apply Appian platform best practices to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Develop RESTful API integrations and web services connecting Appian with enterprise applications and external systems
- Collaborate with functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in daily stand-ups and regular communication with project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot development issues and support application refinement activities
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration details, and development artifacts
- Ensure solutions align with security, performance, and operational requirements
- Contribute to technical design discussions and recommend scalable Appian architecture and development approaches
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Remote work supporting federal application development operations
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Minimum of 10+ years experience with software development
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience with Appian process automation
- Minimum of 10+ years experience with API integration
- Expertise in developing custom Appian applications, process models, interfaces, and integrations
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise workflow automation or case management applications
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate closely with functional teams
- Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government programs or secure environments
- Experience developing enterprise workflow automation, case management, or business process applications using Appian
- Experience integrating Appian with REST APIs, web services, or enterprise platforms
- Experience working with Appian Records, Interfaces, Process Models, and Expression Rules
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable Appian solutions
- Support mission-critical federal application modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Build scalable Appian applications that improve business processes and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with experienced functional and technical teams in an Agile, mission-focused environment
- Contribute to enterprise solutions that support high-impact federal operations
