THIS POSITION IS FOR STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING- STC, An Arcfield Company
Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a seasoned Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Lead to support U.S. Space Force digital transformation efforts in Colorado Springs, CO. This role requires leading the analysis, architecture, implementation, and deployment of advanced DE/MBSE capabilities that improve system engineering workflows, model governance, traceability, verification, configuration management, and mission-relevant decision support.
The selected candidate will work closely with U.S. Space Force stakeholders, mission engineers, program offices, and technical teams to identify digital engineering needs, establish a practical implementation roadmap, execute high-impact pilot efforts, and deploy sustainable MBSE solutions within an enhanced Digital Engineering Environment (DEE). An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities:
- Program and Technical Leadership: Lead DE/MBSE planning, stakeholder coordination, roadmap development, technical execution, and delivery of mission-focused digital engineering capabilities aligned to U.S. Space Force priorities.
- Analysis and Roadmap Development: Collaborate with government stakeholders to assess data producers and consumers, identify engineering workflow pain points, evaluate digital transformation opportunities, and define a comprehensive DE/MBSE roadmap with objectives, tasks, milestones, and implementation plans.
- MBSE Feature Development and Implementation: Lead the architecture, testing, and implementation of MBSE capabilities, including configuration management, traceability, verification, model-based metrics, information extraction, and related digital engineering workflows.
- Digital Engineering Environment Implementation: Support the development and deployment of an enhanced Digital Engineering Environment architecture by integrating MBSE frameworks, tools, workflows, governance processes, and user-driven acceptance testing.
- Training and Governance: Support delivery live training, user enablement, and ongoing governance support to ensure DE/MBSE practices align with evolving policy standards, mission requirements, and continuous process improvement needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with U.S. Space Force stakeholders, mission engineers, systems engineers, software teams, tool administrators, and cross-functional partners to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and sustainment of DE/MBSE capabilities.
Qualifications
- BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering experience, with demonstrated exposure to Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering implementation.
- Strong experience architecting, developing, testing, and deploying MBSE and DE solutions in support of complex government or defense programs.
- Demonstrated expertise with advanced MBSE capabilities, including configuration management, traceability, verification, model-based metrics, information extraction, and digital workflow implementation.
- Technical knowledge of system architecture, MBSE frameworks, digital engineering environments, modeling tools, and model-based lifecycle processes.
- Experience supporting government projects, including the transition of engineering solutions from R&D, prototype, or pilot phases into operational or production use.
- Proven ability to work directly with government stakeholders, mission engineers, program offices, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate mission needs into practical technical solutions.
- Experience delivering user training, governance support, implementation guidance, or process refinement for DE/MBSE adoption.
- Must possess and maintain an active U.S. DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
