Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer
Location: Littleton, CO or Houston, TX
Type of Role: Direct Hire (Full-Time, Onsite)
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Pay Range: $89,300 - $157,550; actual compensation may vary based on location and candidate qualifications.


Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support advanced electrical design activities within a complex aerospace test laboratory environment. This role will focus on detailed wiring schematics and electrical power/data distribution for software and hardware test labs supporting current and future spaceflight mission requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in harness and cable design, ECAD modeling, anomaly resolution, and cross-functional coordination across highly technical engineering teams.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Develop detailed electrical wiring schematics for data and power distribution layouts supporting software and hardware test laboratories.

Collaborate with subsystem engineers to define data requirements, electrical loads, routing paths, and interface needs for lab and test configurations.

Own and manage lab test product drawings, procurement efforts, procedures, and associated certification documentation.

Support current and future mission requirements through the definition, design, and certification of integrated electrical test systems.

Perform anomaly troubleshooting and problem resolution related to electrical lab configurations, test hardware, and wiring harnesses.

Utilize ECAD tools such as Zuken E3 to model harnesses, cables, electronic boxes, and electrical systems.

Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and test teams to ensure robust, integrated electrical test setups.

Maintain strong configuration control and lifecycle ownership of electrical lab hardware and supporting documentation.

Communicate designs, technical issues, and resolutions clearly to engineering stakeholders and program teams.

Support a fast-paced onsite engineering environment focused on mission readiness and technical excellence.

Minimum Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Electrical design work experience with harnesses, cables, electronic boxes, and electrical systems.

Fluency in ECAD applications and modeling tools such as Zuken E3.

Experience in anomaly troubleshooting and problem resolution within electrical systems or test environments.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Ability to work full-time onsite at a designated facility in Littleton, CO or Houston, TX on a 9x80 schedule.

Additional Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent engineering work experience.

Familiarity with spacecraft architecture, subsystems, and flight hardware architecture.

Familiarity with space programs, flight specifications, and/or COTS electronic equipment used in test environments.

Hands-on harness electrical design experience in laboratory or flight-like environments.

Experience in integrated avionics and software test environments supporting complex systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal effectiveness.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical and integration issues.

Mechanical interconnect design experience related to test hardware and interface configurations.

Voltage drop analysis experience for power distribution and harness design.

Product lifecycle ownership or management experience for electrical test products or hardware configurations.
