This position is for a Senior Network Engineer to support our client in Washington DC. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures
- Manage and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Ensure network performance, reliability, and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
- Implement network security measures and best practices
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support business needs
- Document network designs, configurations, and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related IT field
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
