Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineering and Program Manager to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, LA for the Space Launch System program.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, LA.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Position Responsibilities:
- Serves as a member of both the SLS program leadership team and Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems Total Quality leadership team
- Responsible for all aspects of Quality on the SLS program from design through launch
- Manages employees and mid-level managers performing quality engineering and quality assurance on the SLS program through all phases of the product lifecycle
- Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of SLS program/business plans
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers within an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Ability to understand the big picture and inter-relationships of functions
- Ability to effectively communicate current state performance to plans for executive consumption

- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience implementing and/or maintaining a quality management system
- Experience working in a cross functional environment
- Experience with Communication, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive-level management.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior Quality Management Experience
- Direct experience performing in quality engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, system engineering, or change management
- Solid working knowledge of Quality Tools (APQP, Early Quality Involvement, RCCA)
- Surveillance and Compliance Audits
- Experience building internal and external customer relationships
