The Work:
The TSSC Operations Manager provides technical, operational, and administrative leadership across multiple functional areas supporting the C 130J Air Mobility Command, Air National Guard, and USMC Training System Support Center (TSSC). This role ensures effective coordination, resource alignment, cybersecurity compliance, and operational excellence across all TSSC divisions in support of Aircrew Training Device operations and enterprise training objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily operations and supervision for four major functional areas: Aircrew Training Devices, Information Technology Systems, Quality Assurance, and Instructional Systems Development.
• Oversee all Information Technology and cybersecurity functions, ensuring compliance with DoD, NIST, and Lockheed Martin security standards across classified and unclassified networks, training systems, and end user environments.
• Provide oversight of logistics coordination, resource planning, and program financial tracking to support mission requirements and operational readiness.
• Coordinate cross functional tasks across the AMC/USMC TSSC enterprise, ensuring consistent communication, shared priorities, and elimination of redundant efforts.
• Collaborate closely with the COE at Kirtland AFB to maintain alignment, mutual support, and standardized processes across both sites for Instructional Systems Design.
• Partner with Operations & Sustainment (O&S) to ensure uninterrupted student throughput and minimize training disruptions caused by modifications or maintenance activities.
• Ensure all TSSC personnel receive required technical, compliance, and security training.
• Track all suspense items and deliver timely, accurate responses; develop extension requests as required.
• Serve as a primary point of contact with DoD customer agencies, providing briefings, reports, and regular operational updates.
• Support major modification and production efforts by coordinating impacts and ensuring synchronization between engineering, production, and TSSC operations.
• Implement Lockheed Martin policies, initiatives, and continuous improvement programs across the TSSC organization.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, security, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading technical teams in a training, simulation, aviation, or defense environment.
• Knowledge of flight simulation systems, visual databases, or training device support operations.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity, IT systems administration, or information assurance policies (RMF, STIGs, NIST frameworks).
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to manage cross functional teams and execute complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience in aircrew training systems, simulator operations, or training center management.
• Experience with government contracting, program finance, and logistics support.
• Prior work with JMATS, TSSC environments, or mobility/airlift training programs.
• Security+ or other DoD 8570 compliant certifications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
