Every Other Wednesday 6a-6p
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician I to support manufacturing operations in Washington, Michigan. This hands-on position is responsible for equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Required Qualifications
✅ High School Diploma or GED
✅ Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Calibrate and adjust machine tools and manufacturing equipment.
- Return equipment to optimal operating condition in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Facility & Equipment Improvements
- Modify machinery and facility systems to accommodate specialized functions.
- Perform minor building maintenance, including:
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing repairs
- General maintenance tasks
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain technical libraries, manuals, and documentation.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately.
Safety & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety procedures and 5S principles.
- Participate in required safety training programs.
All necessary tools will be provided.
Required Qualifications
✅ High School Diploma or GED
✅ Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience
✅ Experience using:
- Torque wrenches
- Basic hand tools
- Impact tools
- Measuring tools
- Electrical diagnostic equipment (multimeters)
✅ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
✅ Willingness to complete additional training for:
- Mobile Equipment
- Confined Space Entry
- High Voltage Systems
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
✅ Ability to pass a mobile equipment test
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
⭐ Ability to read and interpret:
- Mechanical blueprints
- Hydraulic diagrams
- Electrical schematics
⭐ Experience working with:
- Furnaces
- Induction equipment
- HVAC systems
⭐ Experience using:
- Cutting torches
- Basic welding equipment
