Overview

The Work

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of warehouse operations supporting submarine units. This role ensures accurate and compliant receipt and processing of hazardous and non-hazardous material, manages retrograde and carcass turn-in activities, and maintains rigorous documentation and quality assurance standards in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all of the Material Handling Laborers and the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
  • Receive non-hazardous and hazardous material from submarine units.
  • Document material receipt by affixing a date stamp and receipt signature to all DD Form 1348s received.
  • Attempt to obtain credit for excess items.
  • Request disposition instructions.
  • Document material receipt using an automated data processing application.
  • Identify retrograde material requiring processing.
  • Input retrograde carcasses into the electronic retrograde management system (eRMS).
  • Provide status report on the last workday of each month
  • Establish and maintain a Quality Assurance Program (QAP) to ensure that work performed meets or exceeds requirements.
  • Maintain a log of surveyed retrograde material.
  • Review and approve all timesheets for accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications - Here's What You Need
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must possess fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of prior logistics operations experience.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and forklift certification/license.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word, and able to learn unique automated data applications.
  • Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of materials within established safety limits.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • May be exposed to temperature fluctuations including heat, cold, and humidity.
  • May be exposed to loud noises.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
