Position Overview
Ennoble First is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Security Engineer to support the documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation of cloud-based information systems. In this role, you will help ensure cloud environments meet Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity requirements while assisting with security architecture, Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, cloud security engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with technical teams and government stakeholders to implement secure cloud solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate and support the documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure Information Technology (IT) systems meet organizational Information Assurance (IA) and security requirements.
- Assist in defining organizational desired state and risk thresholds and analyze actual state information to assess compliance.
- Work with leadership to advise on codifying strategic objectives into doctrine and procedures that support mission objectives.
- Assist with evaluation of computer applications, software, and specialized utility programs to determine whether software assurance best practices are followed.
- Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources to address security requirements.
- Implement cloud security architectures, tools, and processes that support secure enterprise environments.
- Work with Intelligence Community clients to ensure cloud environments meet established security requirements.
- Collaborate with cloud security experts to identify and implement secure cloud technologies.
- 5+ years of experience building and administering cloud environments, utilizing cloud-native functionality, and COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools to meet objectives.
- Experience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
- Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification within 30 days of start date.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Possession of excellent team leadership, development, and client relationship skills.
- Possession of excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
$125,000-$155,000
The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
