What You Will Be Doing
As a Semiconductor Process Engineer supporting Lockheed Martin's Santa Barbara operations, you may contribute to the development, optimization, integration, and sustainment of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes used in critical defense applications.
Responsibilities may include:
• Developing, improving, and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Supporting photolithography, etching, deposition, metrology, hybridization, packaging, and advanced interconnect technologies.
• Performing process characterization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and yield improvement activities.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimization.
• Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to achieve program objectives.
• Supporting process qualification, documentation, and technology transition activities.
• Developing technical reports, procedures, presentations, and engineering documentation.
• Participating in product development efforts from concept through production and sustainment.

This position is located in Santa Barbara, California.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or another related STEM discipline.
• Professional experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, process development, process improvement, research and development, or technical operations activities.
• Experience analyzing technical problems and developing effective solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Photolithography process development and optimization
• Process integration engineering
• Process characterization and qualification
• Yield enhancement and defect reduction
• Failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Etch, deposition, metrology, hybridization, packaging, or advanced interconnect technologies

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
