<br><br>> Embedded Electro-Mechanical Engineer<br><br>Toyon Research Corporation<br><br>Embedded Electro-Mechanical Engineer<br><br><a>Goleta, CA</a><br><br>Description<br><br><strong>U.S. Citizenship Required. </strong>Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required.<br><br>This position is in-person in Goleta, CA.<br><br>Toyon’s Algorithm & AI Solutions team is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, multi-disciplined engineer to help design sensor systems and novel embedded hardware. You will leverage your mechanical background to design custom CAD 3D models and perform system-level integration of complex systems. On the electrical side, you will simulate, design, fabricate, and test mixed-signal and embedded processing PCBs. In both areas, you should be capable of overseeing the complete product development lifecycle - including concept, model/schematic/layout, generating drawings/PCB outputs, fabrication, prototype testing, and production delivery. Experience with Altium and SolidWorks is preferred. Basic coding experience is needed.<br><br>The right candidate combines strong systems-level analytical skills with hands-on problem solving, learns new technologies quickly, and communicates clearly. You should be comfortable completing tasks independently, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and turning ambiguous requirements into something that works.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>A B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. At least two years of experience (with B.S), or an M.S., is desired.
