Job Purpose:
- The Cloud Operations Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and security. This role requires a TS SCI Clearance and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
- Monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud operations.
- Implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud operations and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations or a similar role.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in managing and automating cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and optimizing cloud performance and costs.
- Experience in implementing and managing security measures in cloud environments.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- TS SCI Clearance.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
