Job Description
GVI, Inc. seeks a Supply Technician to provide logistics and technical support on behalf of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport.
Position Responsibilities:
Configuration management and supply support tasking for several classes of submarines. Parts research and data gathering to support Virginia Class program office data calls. Information to be gathered may include stock posture, stock availability, obsolescence status, and more. Data entry to update IUID registry. Creation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets for tracking requisition information. Meeting minutes, action item tracking, gathering of weekly inputs to provide consolidated reports or material for briefs.
- Research reference material (instructions, guidance...) to incorporate into program documents
- Quickly create PowerPoint or other briefing materials and graphics
- Ability to quickly spot spelling and grammatical mistakes
- Type meeting notes real time, sending out accurate notes in short order
Preferred Qualifications/Skillsets:
- Attention to Detail, sense of urgency
- Ability to explain complex technical information in common, simple language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power Apps (like Power BI)
- Ability to create, update, and track tasks
- Ability to take Word documents, tables, and charts, and create/maintain Online desk guides
- Knowledge of the Navy Supply System and processes would be beneficial but not required
