Job Description
GVI, Inc. seeks a Configuration Analyst to provide logistics and technical support on behalf of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport.
Position Responsibilities:
Configuration Management support for the Columbia Class submarine program. This includes supporting program office meetings, working with the Configuration Data Manager (CDM) to make recommendations for solutions to configuration issues. Creating CM workfiles supporting accurate Configuration Status Accounting (CSA). Tasking may also overlap with supply support tasking. Research and data gathering to support program office data calls. Information to be gathered may include stock posture, stock availability, obsolescence status, and more. Creation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets for tracking requisition information. Meeting minutes, action item tracking, gathering of weekly inputs to provide consolidated reports or material for briefs.
Prior Navy experience would be extremely helpful, but a strong knowledge of the workings of the Navy Supply systems and submarine systems will suffice.
Preferred Qualifications/Skillsets:
Logistics experience and knowledge of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements is needed. Additionally, they should have a background in Integrated Logistics Support, and a general knowledge of submarines and submarine systems. The applicant must have the ability to communicate and work in a team. The ability to communicate orally and in writing to prepare and make oral and written presentations related to logistics elements. Problem solving. Product support and sustainment.
