Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Facilities Representative - Level 3 to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. No relocation is available.

The selected Facilities Representative Level 3 will support vendor management, statements of work development, procurement/acquisition, and invoice coordination for existing legacy facilities and a new construction project.

Responsibilities are in more than one of the following facilities areas: facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing or real estate coordination. Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Facilities Representative will handle the coordination and control of all subcontracted facilities work and workers.
  • Oversees the safety, performance and schedule of construction and repair work outsourced in Huntsville.
  • Coordinates and facilitates office planning, office moves, as well as managing the day-to-day tasks associated with office services.
  • Will be the POC (Point of Contact) for all office move requests, office construction requests, project planning support, scheduling contractor labor, etc..
  • Oversee permitting, safety requirements and oversight for contract safety and labor.
  • Advise on standard construction methods and requirements.
  • Support in-house facility and project inspection activities.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures and make recommendations on programs and projects.
  • Prepare routine documents, such as Maximo work orders, correspondence, memos, and emails.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to positively interact with colleagues, contractors, management, and customers.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time to customer and Northrop Grumman locations.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management, business or related field.
  • Experience in Construction and Project planning.
  • Familiarity with multiple construction disciplines.
  • Ability to read blueprint drawings, schematics, and interpret detail engineering drawings.
  • Experience in permitting processes, demolition, hazard abatement.
  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
