- You will develop new or improved financial or operation programs, policies and/or procedures and make recommendations concerning the establishment or revision of financial management procedures.
- You will provide oversight of the command's Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP), gather and analyze data, and brief the Commander on the annual MICP Certification Statement.
- You will oversee the preparations of all cash verification and bank reconciliation reports and brief the results to department heads.
- You will develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and administration of programs, develop criteria for evaluating program effectiveness and oversee the preparation of all formal reports.
- You will assist in audit engagements, oversee the gathering of required supporting documentation, conduct audit tracking and follow-up to ensure all audit findings are appropriately implemented and/or corrected.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
