Service Desk Technician Level II (Remote)

SteelGate is looking for a Service Desk Technician II. The Service Desk Technician II is primarily responsible for issues related to user workstations, including desktops, laptops, 10Gig zero clients, and mobile thin clients. These responsibilities include account management, troubleshooting workstations, installing hardware and software, configuring workstation operating systems, ensuring that systems remain current with approved configurations and security requirements, and configuring or troubleshooting workstation peripherals. The Service Desk Technician Level II is also responsible for handling requests for assistance received through the Service Desk by telephone, the ServiceNow ticketing system, or walk-in inquiries. These responsibilities include assessing the user’s issue through conversation or remote access, assigning appropriate priorities, and dispatching or escalating support requests to Level II Technicians when necessary. The Service Desk also tracks ticket status and resolution and communicates updates or issues to both the user and the Service Desk Supervisor. assists in creating Knowledge Base articles, checklists, Service Level Agreements, rocedures, and end-user training materials. Level II Technicians collaborate with development staff to recreate issues in the test environment and with operations staff on configuration management through Windows Operating System Deployment. They also evaluate user requirements and workflows and recommend appropriate information technology solutions.


Qualifications:


· Ability to pass a background investigation.


· Pass a standard drug test.


· 4 years of IT Help Desk experience to Include Help Desk Administration and User Support


· Security Plus or A+ Certification


Education:


· AA or higher preferred.


Job Types: Full-Time


Clearance: Public Trust


Schedule: 8 hours per shift; Monday-Friday
