SUMMARY
Provides Quality Control (QC) support across a wide variety of IT systems, including premises wiring, inside plant (ISP) infrastructure, telecommunications rooms and associated infrastructure, and outside plant (OSP) infrastructure. Performs inspections and walkthroughs, validates installation procedures, witnesses IT testing and critical OSP construction, and maintains QC documentation to ensure work conforms to ANSI/TIA standards and customer requirements on military IT and construction projects.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline and 0 to 5 years of experience, or Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline and 7 or more years of experience.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- QC Inspection Report. Documented walkthrough and inspection findings for ISP and OSP work, evaluated against ANSI/TIA standards and approved plans.
- Test Witness Record. Record of witnessed IT testing, including fiber and copper certification and continuity results, with pass or fail disposition.
- Outside Plant Construction Inspection Record. Documentation of witnessed critical OSP construction, such as concrete encasement, mandrelling, and duct bank or conduit placement.
- Non-Conformance Report. Identified deviations from standard or specification, with required corrective action and verification of closure.
- Daily Quality Control Report. Daily record of QC activities performed, inspections conducted, and work status, in the format expected on government construction.
- Checkpoint Review Report. Formal results of checkpoint or hold-point reviews filed at defined project milestones.
- QC Checklist and Log. Maintained checklists and logs evidencing inspection coverage across each phase of installation and construction.
