Location: San Diego, CA, 92128
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: Up to $79.84/hr.
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule - Work 80 hours over 9 days in a two-week period
***Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)
Summary:
Our customer is looking for a Link 16 Engineer Embedded Software 3 to support their Software and Digital Technologies department. As a member of the Software and Digital Technologies department, you"ll get to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. This position will serve on-site at the Rancho Carmel Site in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will you'll get to design, develop, integrate and test software for our end-user customers and businesses, primarily focused on Link-16 and Tactical Datalink software code bases. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, and administration of embedded and real time systems. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
Basic Qualifications for Engineer Embedded Software 3:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or STEM with 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+, or PhD with 1+
• Current active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.
• Current active SAP clearance.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming
• Experience across full software lifecycle (requirements through testing)
• Embedded real-time systems development, including low-level firmware integration and multi-threaded applications
• Debugging and development of embedded real-time systems
• Familiar with static analysis, unit testing, Agile development, and tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Git
• Experience testing/troubleshooting Link-16 waveform systems and working with tactical datalink radios/terminals
• Familiar with Link-16/TACAN waveform standards, CORBA, SCA, and Software Defined Radios
• Experience with lab equipment used in embedded/tactical communication environments
• Must be able to work onsite in Rancho Carmel, CA
Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Embedded Software 3:
• Experience with avionics operating systems and Xilinx platforms (Zynq, UltraScale+, Versal)
• Experience with Yocto/PetaLinux and Linux kernel driver development
• Familiar with embedded communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet) and TCP/IP networking
• Experience with cryptographic implementations (HAIPE, IKE, OTNK)
• Familiar with Rust, assembly language, bare-metal drivers, and PowerPC architectures
• Experience with Xilinx tools (Vitis, Vivado) and IBM tools (Rhapsody, DOORS, ClearCase)
• Familiar with Green Hills AdaMulti and MIL-STD-6016
• Currently engaged in Networked Information Solutions program portfolio. (s)
