The Work
As a Project Engineer, you will report to the CAP Engineering Project Manager (EPM) and collaborate closely with CAP leadership-including Engineering Managers (EMs), Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Control Account Managers (CAMs). In this role, you will:
• Coordinate the CAP team's technical efforts and manage external dependencies associated with the assigned capabilities.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and action planning in partnership with the Agile Release Train (ART) EM and Work Package Managers.
• Facilitate cross-team coordination with peer Project Engineers, EPMs, EMs, finance, and planning personnel to ensure alignment across the ART and the broader program.
• Support the monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) cycle and, when needed, represent CAP Leadership during performance reviews to communicate technical, schedule, and cost execution status.
• Assist with proposal development, engineering estimates, and engineering change proposal activities through detailed data analysis.
• Support and improve the program's risk and opportunity management process, driving meaningful and timely mitigation and exploitation actions.
• Participate in corporate and program-wide initiatives aimed at improving processes, tools, and organizational efficiency.

• A solid understanding of engineering project execution and Agile program structures
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, finance, planning, and leadership stakeholders
• Skill in data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Experience supporting risk and opportunity management
• A mindset focused on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and process optimization

Basic Qualifications:
- A final secret clearance is required for consideration
- Strong project management, program management, and/or technical lead experience.
- Experience communicating across business areas and technical functions to deconflict dependencies.
- Experience with workflow implementation and management on an Agile program.
- Experience identifying IMS forecast and baseline changes via schedule change requests and 'what if' schedules
Desired Skills:
- Proven skill with standard project management and EVM practices, procedures, and tools (such as OpenPlan, PM Compass, and Microsoft Project), schedule creation/management, rolling wave planning, and EVM cost baselining.
- Recent graduate of a CAM/EVM training course and completed PM Compass or other EVM tool training within the last 2 years
- Demonstrated abilities highlighting acceptance of responsibilities, attention to details, and meeting technical and programmatic deadlines.
- Expert level of experience with regard to Lockheed Martin CAM/CAM Analyst processes and policies (CPS-070, PPMD) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of C2BMC National Team/MDA C2BMC Program Directorate processes and procedures.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
