Overview
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and containerized application environments. This role supports production systems and pilot programs across secure and non-secure (low-side) environments, including on-premises infrastructure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will leverage industry-leading DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and enable scalable, secure, and efficient development workflows.

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and containerized application environments. This role supports production systems and pilot programs across secure and non-secure (low-side) environments, including on-premises infrastructure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will leverage industry-leading DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and enable scalable, secure, and efficient development workflows.
What will you do?
- Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support software development and production environments.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support development, testing, and production environments across secure and low-side networks, on-premises infrastructure, and AWS cloud services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure application delivery.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including vulnerability management, security automation, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and improve system documentation, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new DevOps tools, technologies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and system troubleshooting.
