We are pleased to announce the opening of a Missile Defense Systems (MDS) Test & Evaluation Subject Matter Expert (SME), who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control market spaces. You will be part of a team known for providing test support to the Missile Defense System - Operational Test Agency (MDS-OTA). The MDS OTA Team provides independent operational assessment of the MDS capability to defend the United States, its deployed forces, friends, and allies against missiles of all ranges and in all phases of flight.

Responsibilities:

The Missile Defense System (MDS) Operational Test Agency (OTA) Team serves as the independent operational assessment organization for the Missile Defense System, partnering closely with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the warfighter community throughout the test, assessment, and analysis lifecycle. This role supports operational missile defense testing from initial concept development and requirements definition through test planning, execution, analysis, and operational assessment reporting. Responsibilities include supporting a broad range of ground, flight, and cyber test events while providing subject matter expertise for systems-of-systems supporting Strategic, Theater/Regional, and Guam Missile Defense Systems.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating the planning and execution of system-level operational testing by developing test objectives, integrating test architectures and resources, and collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E). The role also involves supporting test execution and observation to ensure operational objectives are achieved, documenting test activities and results, and ensuring the successful integration of operational requirements throughout the testing process.

Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining critical operational test documentation, such as Operational Test Plans, Operational Test Readiness Reviews, Test Concept Briefings, and Initial Observation Reports. The position also requires performing preliminary analysis of test data to evaluate the operational effectiveness and suitability of the Missile Defense System, as well as preparing technical reports and executive-level briefings that communicate observations, findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to government and military leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must have a Bachelor's degree. Graduate degree preferred.
  • You will need 10 years of full-time professional experience. Prefer (15) years of experience in (Missile Defense System Operations and Testing)
  • You must possess or can obtain an active SECRET clearance.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and the planning and coordination of Test and Evaluation (T&E) programs.
  • Experience conducting operational testing and assessing the effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of weapon systems.
  • Experience with requirements development, derivation, traceability, and requirements management throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders across multiple organizational levels, including Program Management, technical leadership, and junior engineering staff.
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams to support program objectives, technical reviews, and mission-critical decision-making.
