Expeditionary Project Manager (Architecture/Engineering)
Location: Naples, Italy (Travel throughout Italy and Bahrain as required)
Travel: International travel required; travel expenses paid by Futron
Tentative Start Date: September 2026 (Proposal Award)
Job Type: Full-Time
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials (if applicable)
Education & Experience
- U.S. Citizen required
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (NAAB accredited) or Engineering (ABET accredited)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional Architecture or Engineering experience
- Minimum of 1 year supporting Federal Government or DoD facilities projects
- Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Experience managing construction and facilities projects from planning through closeout
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to travel internationally, including Bahrain
Position Overview
Futron is seeking an Expeditionary Project Manager to support NAVFAC EURAFCENT facilities projects throughout Europe and the Middle East. This position provides project management oversight from project initiation through project closeout while ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with NAVFAC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams
- Review schedules, RFIs, submittals, cost estimates, and payment requests
- Conduct construction site visits and inspections
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, risks, and quality
- Prepare project reports and documentation
- Support commissioning and critical systems acceptance
- Facilitate meetings and maintain project communications
- Ensure compliance with NAVFAC policies, codes, and safety requirements
Proposal Position
This position is contingent upon contract award. The anticipated start date is September 2026. This position is based in Naples, Italy, with travel throughout Italy and Bahrain as required. Company-paid travel and lodging will be provided for authorized work assignments.
