The DevOps Engineer, Senior will provide leadership in the DevSecOps areas of Vulnerability Scanning, Certificate Management, Password Policy Management, Data Analysis of security monitoring outputs, coordination of Remediation Patching, and other daily Security and Compliance efforts. The DevOps Engineer, Senior will assist in developing an automated security framework for robust deployment tools and processes, leveraging various scripting languages and open-source solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance in the design, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive automation and CI/CD pipeline in the customer's environment.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with development teams to ensure CI/CD pipeline tools are available and correctly configured.
  • Provide industry best practices guidance to the systems engineering and architecture team, the product management team, and the application development team(s).
  • Support the entire product lifecycle, including requirement analysis, technical design, system integration, implementation, and deployment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR
  • High school diploma and 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Software development
    • configuration control
    • testing
    • security
    • Automation
    • Orchestration of cloud services
    • Hands-on experience implementing and working with the DevSecOps tools and toolchains
  • Possess and maintain a valid state operator's license
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current CI Poly required
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GIT, Jira, Jenkins, JMeter, and other Agile CI/CD and project management tools and Kanban boards preferred.
  • Experience working with Developers, DevOps, and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote/implement the DevOps program throughout the organization.
  • Ability to review and analyze vulnerability data to identify security risks to the organization's network, infrastructure, and applications, and determine any reported false positives vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to prepare security vulnerability and risk management reports for management.
  • Leadership and teaming skills to coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities within established timeframes.
  • Experience configuring, implementing, and leveraging computer security and networking diagnostic/monitoring tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user, as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customers and resolve production issues.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or do on-call support.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and ambiguity on some projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to analytically address complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions
