Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity to support the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission by providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Commercial Integration Office (CIO), United States Space Forces Space - Combined Joint Force Space Component (S4S-CJFSC) as a Commercial Space Capabilities Plans Integrator on the Sensor Systems Support (S3) contract supporting the United States Space Force and Space Domain Awareness stakeholder community. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of the CIO's mission by ensuring a productive and positive atmosphere for commercial space partners who incorporate their capabilities and architecture into established programs, plans, exercises, intelligence functions, and training in support of multiple Combatant Command missions.
SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy and act as force multipliers in times of conflict.
The CIO is responsible for operational and technology exchange between Space Operators and commercial satellite owner/operators supporting real-time and near real-time information flow during routine operations and enables rapid, informed response to critical unplanned space events or other activity in and through space to improve SDA.
As a Commercial Space Capabilities Plans Integrator, your role is pivotal in providing the Commercial Integration Cell with research and subject matter expertise required to integrate commercial capabilities and technology into operational and tactical plans and create or support accompanying training, wargaming, and exercise events. You will be responsible for assessing current integration activities with regard for ensuring operational efficacy of existing plans and making recommendations for commercial integration opportunities. Work is performed at the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC), Vandenberg SFB (Santa Barbara County) area with an opportunity for occasional telework at the discretion of the Government.

An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As a Commercial Space Capabilities Plans Integrator, you will be communicating across functional boundaries to ensure commercial space partners' capabilities and architecture are integrated as required to support planning for multiple Combatant Command missions. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of commercial programs by ensuring overall readiness, fostering continuous improvement, and aligning planning efforts with operational objectives. Experience: 5 years of relevant experience, 4 of which have been in a similar role supporting Department of War or Intelligence organizations

- Produce and build processes, methodology, and training for integrating commercial capabilities that merge requirements and strategic planning
- Integrate research, analysis, and modeling and simulation into operational and tactical planning documentation
- Ensure compliance with all military laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the planning and execution of commercial operations
- Advise on technological requirements, tactics development, and capability integration best practices. Includes advice on commercial onboarding and requirements development to ensure existing plans are sustainable
- Connect commercial space organizations with HHQ, Department of War and Intelligence Community contacts to develop robust collaboration, integration, knowledge sharing, and multi-faceted partnerships
- Manage discussions for external and internal working groups on topics pertaining to planning and long-range strategy
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and technology related to threats and vulnerabilities as part of a joint mission
- Analyze intelligence, assess operational risks, and coordinate resources to optimize mission effectiveness
- Assess threat environments and resource availability to devise effective tactical approaches. Ensure plans are executable and aligned with overall military strategy
- Support operational activities as required, ensuring seamless integration between programming and operational functions within the CIO portfolio.
- Lead single-scope projects in support of overarching commercial integration. Prepare and present reports, documents and briefings as required/directed
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government direction
- Other duties as requested by the Government and within the constraints of the S3 contract

- Leadership experience in military planning and organizing necessary policies, directives, programs, and strategy
- Proficiency in creating communication materials using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and adaptability to other emerging tool suites
- Expert in Organizing, leading, and assessing cross-organizational working groups to collaborate on commercial integration with multi-functional teams in support of broad military operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively and facilitate cross organizational working groups
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing complex communication challenges and establishing repeatable processes
- Self-motivated individual with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a team environment
- Advanced knowledge of military operations, military planning and systems integration environment

- Experience and/or certification in developing military plans, particularly the ability to analyze complex scenarios and develop short and long-term operational plans aligned with military objectives
- Experience in USAF/USSF space operations, directly supporting: Multi-domain operations (MDO), C2, EMSO, SDA, PNT, or SATCOM
- Proficiency with planning and decision-support tools, including simulation models and geographic information systems
