Job Description
What You'll Do
-Lead the design and deployment of all networking components associated with rack and stack infrastructure builds, including core, distribution, and access layer switching
-Architect and implement routing solutions across complex, multi-site environments using OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
-Configure and manage Cisco switching infrastructure including VLANs, spanning tree, port channels, and QoS policies
-Integrate network infrastructure with VMware NSX and virtualized environments in coordination with the infrastructure engineering team
-Design and enforce network segmentation strategies to meet DISA STIG and RMF compliance requirements
-Serve as the primary network subject matter expert, providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
-Support ATO processes by producing and maintaining network architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and configuration baselines
-Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across switching, routing, and security layers
-Evaluate and recommend network technologies and solutions aligned with program requirements and government standards
-Maintain accurate and current network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address management, and change records
What You Bring
-8–10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering with demonstrated depth across routing, switching, and network security
-Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification required; CCIE a strong plus
-Extensive experience with Cisco enterprise networking platforms including Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR product families
-Strong working knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP in complex multi-site environments
-Experience designing and deploying network infrastructure as part of rack and stack build programs
-Familiarity with network virtualization concepts and integration with VMware NSX environments
-Working knowledge of DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF as applied to network infrastructure
-Active Top Secret security clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
-Prior experience supporting classified programs in a DoD, IC, or cleared defense contractor environment
-Experience with network automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Python, or Cisco DNA Center
-Familiarity with SD-WAN, network access control (NAC), or zero trust network architecture concepts
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
-DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification (Security+, CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent)
