Job Description

The Opportunity:
IntePros Federal is identifying Key Personnel candidates for an upcoming competitive bid supporting the ALTESS Windows team in Radford, VA. As part of this proposal effort, we are seeking a Senior Citrix Administrator to be named in our submission. This Key Personnel role will support a mixed and growing Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 environment, working closely with the existing Windows team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, harden, and support servers across a complex customer environment.
The Senior Citrix Administrator will play a critical role in planning, executing, and implementing new system hardware and software; creating and maintaining technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies; monitoring and tuning system performance; and reporting on the overall security and operational status of the environment. This position will also recommend enterprise improvements, support new software and hardware integrations, provide utilization reporting, and assist with lifecycle management of vendor equipment in the datacenter, including firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance.

Location:

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent years of experience may be considered.
Certifications:
• CompTIA Security+ required.
• Computing Environment certification, such as MCSE, Server+, CCNA, Red Hat, Palo Alto, or equivalent, required; may be waived for up to 30 days after project join date.
Responsibilities – Activities may include, but are not limited to:
• Manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 systems in a mixed customer environment.
• Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot Citrix XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Director.
• Plan, execute, and implement new system hardware and software solutions.
• Create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Monitor, tune, and report on system performance, ongoing operations, security posture, and operational status.
• Harden Windows systems and support cybersecurity compliance activities, including patch management and applicable security requirements.
• Automate assigned tasks using PowerShell to improve reliability, repeatability, and efficiency.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex applications and websites, including IIS, Apache, and related services.
• Support complex network environments and troubleshoot issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Manage enterprise-level Active Directory structures and complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations.
• Configure and maintain key services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
• Provide utilization reports using existing tools to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and improve system efficiency.
• Support lifecycle management of vendor equipment in the datacenter, including firmware version control and periodic preventive maintenance.
• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies that expand, upgrade, and improve the current environment.
Qualifications Required:
• Five or more years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer designing, installing, and maintaining Citrix XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Director.
• Three or more years of experience automating assigned tasks using PowerShell.
• Three or more years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and websites such as IIS and Apache.
• Three or more years of experience working in environments with complex networking solutions, including senior-level foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Qualifications Desired:
• Three or more years of experience supporting cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides, Security Requirement Guides, Risk Management Framework activities, Security Control Assessor-Validator activities, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments.
• Three or more years of experience managing enterprise-level Active Directory structures.
• Three or more years of experience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations.
• Three or more years of experience creating, maintaining, and following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
• Three or more years of experience configuring and maintaining key services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
