Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in instructional methods and theories used in a formal Police Office Training environment. 2. Applying law enforcement procedures, Federal and local laws, traffic laws and established rules, regulations, and legal authorities. 3. Providing investigative procedures, techniques, and methods to resolve crimes and other incidents. 4. Using available modern detection devices and laboratory services; and awareness of continuing advances in law enforcement technology to properly provide instruction on practical use of equipment. 5. Communicating effectively both orally and in writing. 6. Conducting preliminary investigations, interviews area of training where deficiencies exist. 6. Preparing written citations and reports in proper format, procedures and grammar.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
- You will develop law enforcement training programs, schedules, personnel actions, and operating plans for a police force.
- You will review personnel certification to operate and carry firearms.
- You will monitor law enforcement personnel for compliance with agency standards and policies.
- You will explain rules, regulations, or precedents relating to routine police operations.
- You will coordinate with other federal law enforcement instructors to develop different approaches and methods of instruction.
