Cleared DevOps / Platform Engineer (Full Scope Poly Required)
Location: Chantilly, VA (Onsite)
Overview:
Seeking an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to support mission-critical systems within highly secure environments. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing modern development and deployment ecosystems across on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will drive automation, containerization, and continuous delivery practices to support both ongoing operations and emerging initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines and infrastructure supporting secure production and development environments
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes in complex environments
Support Linux-based systems, including system configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Ansible
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to streamline software delivery and integration processes
Manage and support DNS services within secure networks
Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Support both cloud-based (AWS) and on-premises infrastructure environments
Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and operational requirements in restricted environments
Required Experience:
Kubernetes – Advanced proficiency (typically 7+ years of hands-on experience)
DevOps practices and toolchains – Advanced proficiency (automation, CI/CD, containerization)
Linux systems administration – Intermediate experience (3–5 years)
Ansible (or similar configuration management tools) – Intermediate experience
DNS administration and troubleshooting – Intermediate experience
Basic Qualifications:
Active Full Scope Polygraph clearance required
Strong experience working in secure, compartmentalized environments
Ability to support both legacy systems and modern cloud-native architectures
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in mission-focused settings
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
Familiarity with automated testing and deployment pipelines
Exposure to secure networking concepts in restricted environments
Work Environment:
100% onsite in Chantilly, VA
