Job Description
MTSI is seeking a Radar Analyst to support high-impact verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) activities for Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation. This role provides the opportunity to apply deep radar expertise to one of the most mission-critical modeling and simulation portfolios supporting national defense.
You'll join a technical team within MDA/SEQV Systems Verification-designated as the MDA M&S Agent-where you will shape radar model accuracy, performance, and trustworthiness across the Missile Defense System.

What You'll Do
- Apply radar expertise to enhance and validate complex MDS modeling and simulation environments.
- Develop and execute sensitivity studies to evaluate radar performance characteristics within MDA M&S frameworks.
- Build analytical tools and code (HWIL and Digital Model assessments) to evaluate models against requirements and determine suitability for operational use.
- Research and interpret technical model documentation, academic papers, and system data to support VV&A evidence development.
- Collaborate with software developers, model producers, and accreditation agents to establish high-quality V&V evidence and resolve modeling discrepancies.
- Contribute to a multi-agency, highly technical environment focused on improving model fidelity and supporting real-world mission readiness.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant radar, modeling, or system analysis experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher).
- Strong understanding of radar fundamentals and environmental effects (refraction, atmospheric absorption, scintillation, sky noise).
- Familiarity with MDA radar LRIDs (logical record indicators).
- Experience with radar discrimination, especially wideband features.
- Knowledge of radar debris mitigation logic.
- Background in signal processing techniques (desired).
- Experience with phased array radar modeling/simulation or tactical hardware (both preferred).
- Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python (plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to produce briefings, reports, and documentation.
