Quality Assurance Representative

Salary rate: $37.00 - $40.00 / Hr. DOE
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Representative is responsible for ensuring compliance with customer, contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements across operational activities. This position monitors product quality, conformity, configuration management, and traceability while conducting audits, process evaluations, and compliance assessments to verify adherence to approved procedures and aerospace quality standards. The role supports corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, continual improvement initiatives, and quality performance monitoring to enhance operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Working collaboratively with production, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, and leadership teams, the Quality Assurance Representative promotes a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This position serves as a key resource for identifying quality risks, ensuring accurate documentation and records, communicating quality trends and findings, and supporting the organization's commitment to AS9100 requirements, regulatory compliance, and mission success.

Responsibilities
- Verify compliance with customer, contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
- Conduct process, product, and documentation audits to ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
- Monitor operations to ensure product conformity, quality, and traceability requirements are maintained.
- Review quality records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Identify quality issues, risks, and nonconformities and support timely corrective action implementation.
- Ensure configuration management, product identification, and traceability requirements are maintained.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness reviews.
- Participate in continual improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and quality performance.
- Prepare reports and communicate quality-related findings, trends, and recommendations to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 4+ years of work experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, maintenance, manufacturing, or logistics in quality assurance.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, including aerospace standards such as AS9100.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review technical documentation and maintain detailed quality records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess or the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Ability to travel overseas.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Familiar with DCMA Instruction 8210.1C and AS9100
- AS9100 Auditor Certificate
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment

- Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
