Job Description

Synchron is looking for a Senior Training Specialist that will strengthen our Navy customer's workforce capabilities by delivering standardized training, digital adoption support, and organizational development aligned with DoD/Navy standards, Plain Language Guidelines, and modern information-management practices. Ideal candidates will have a Masters Degree, over 12 years of relevant experience and demonstrated supervisory skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess training needs and develop new curriculum, updating and improving existing training programs as required.
  • Plan, design, and deliver training using multiple methods including classroom instruction, online learning, demonstrations, and on-the-job training.
  • Coordinate training activities with other Navy organizations to ensure alignment and resource efficiency.
  • Work with Government stakeholders to identify training requirements driven by changes in ship systems, processes, policies, or technologies.
  • Develop training materials such as manuals, guides, multimedia content, visual aids, and digital learning products.
  • Evaluate training programs for effectiveness, compliance with standards, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Train instructors and supervisors in effective instructional techniques and student engagement methods.
  • Support programs and directorates with digital adoption, information-sharing practices, workforce competency development, and use of M365 and other digital tools.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Shows proficient skills associated with the Training and Curriculum Development, performs complex tasks independently and completes assigned tasks on time and to a standard that is satisfactory or better. Provides guidance and oversight to other personnel at the junior and mid experience levels. Demonstrated experience training other personnel to ensure their competency. Supervisory skills to oversee other training and development personnel to ensure their satisfactory support.
