Our client seeks a Senior Work Control Planner to plan, develop, review, and execute complex work activities within a DOE nuclear facility. The role develops detailed work packages, coordinates maintenance and modification activities, ensures compliance with site procedures, and supports safe and efficient work execution. The ideal candidate brings strong work control and maintenance planning experience across mechanical or electrical systems and DOE operations. Schedule is 4/10s, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and issue complex work packages for maintenance, operations, and modification activities.
- Create step-by-step work instructions, procedures, testing requirements, and safety documentation.
- Prepare and issue corrective and preventive maintenance work packages and records.
- Analyze labor, material, and resource requirements for assigned work activities.
- Resolve planning restraints and support work package closure activities.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, vendor documentation, and technical procedures.
- Ensure technical information supports modifications and maintenance involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct field walkdowns to identify hazards, configuration concerns, and work scope requirements.
- Verify work package quality, accuracy, and consistency prior to execution.
- Serve as a technical resource to maintenance, operations, engineering, and facility organizations.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to other work control personnel.
- Coordinate with site organizations to resolve work package issues and planning concerns.
- Support facility management through work control expertise and technical recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with DOE requirements, site procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Support LOTO development and implementation for mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological energy sources.
- Maintain adherence to configuration management, radiological controls, and quality assurance requirements.
- Promote a safety culture and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience developing and reviewing maintenance or operational work packages.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Experience using computerized work or maintenance management systems.
- Strong understanding of work control processes, maintenance planning, configuration management, material control, quality assurance, radiological controls, LOTO requirements, and safe work practices.
- Working knowledge of DOE, federal, and state regulations.
- Ability to coordinate stakeholders, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in a non-technical discipline and 4-5 years of practical experience in work control, materials management, mechanical maintenance, E&I, or related maintenance or operations disciplines.
- Option 2: Associate degree in a technical or mechanical discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Option 3: High school diploma or equivalent and 10-12+ years of relevant experience.
