Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Test Engineer to join our team.
This is a full-time remote role based near Huntsville AL with occasional on-site work required.

The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a software product (system or application) meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for release.

Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for designing and implementing test plans to improve the usability of products.
• The QA tester works with the development team to debug code, correct errors, and troubleshoot any issues with software code.
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Incorporate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track success.

Qualifications
• Essential: either a public trust or secret clearance
• Essential: minimum 3 years experience
• AWS Certified Machine Learning Certification is desirable.
• Strong Software Test Engineering skills.
• Proven Experience with AWS.
• Proven Experience working in secure or regulated environments (e.g., government or defense) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor's degree in IT from an accredited institution is desirable.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Huntsville AL for occasional work on-site to support projects for government and high-security clients as needed.
