The projected salary range for this position is $160,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
Expertise and Functions
- Develop technical program plans to include system requirements, integration, verification and validation, risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses, personnel and facilities requirements
- Conduct regular technical reviews on programs and projects and provide project teams recommended technical direction to address issues, constraints, and risks as needed to achieve objectives
- Perform engineering analysis and documentation to include requirements and specification development, material and software evaluation and selection, test plans and procedures preparation and reviews, conduct of field installs, operations and maintenance procedure development
- Perform architectural analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Define work plans to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Identify and quantify associated risks and recommend mitigations
- Apply subject matter expertise in the areas of metrology, metrology engineering, calibration equipment, and Navy Metrology and Calibration enterprise operations and logistics in support of assigned projects
- Provide guidance to AI/ML and analyst teams to advance data science and Artificial Intelligence as applied to Instrument Calibration Procedures engineering and lifecycle management and information tools used by metrology engineering for develop calibration support
- Develop briefing materials for internal and customer program management reviews
- Lead regular team meetings to review and update project plans and status including schedule, developing and updating action items, and formulating risk mitigation plans
- Provide leadership, tasking and critical feedback to personnel and organizations supporting your assigned programs and projects
- Perform metrology engineering, calibration logistics and metrology program and policy analysis as requested by the customer
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training (both required and desired):
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
- 16+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
