Position Description & Qualifications
Serco is excited to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) contract. The primary purpose of this contract is to ensure that the Department of the Air Force (DAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and External Partner Agencies maintain cutting-edge Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities that are secure, interoperable, and efficient. The contractor will provide comprehensive support and innovative solutions that enable the continuous evolution and enhancement of M&S systems, ensuring that the DAF and DoD can effectively prepare for and execute their missions with the highest level of readiness and lethality.
CIPs and SMEs will be responsible for all aspects of managing simulator console operations along with threat scenario development. They will be proficient with simulator hardware and basic trouble shooting capabilities. They will have an active/current security clearance and ability to access the simulator facility. They will be proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products and with basic Combat Air Force mission planning processes, tools, and standards. They must possess and maintain a high level of knowledge with USAF F-16 AFTTP 3-1 tactics, techniques, and procedures in addition to F-16 aircraft systems, avionics, weapons, and threats.
Manpower services will include a location site leader. The site leader will liaison between host unit, COR, and contractor and be responsible for scheduling and oversight of CIPs and SMEs. The site lead will also be responsible for ongoing training and records management (i.e., evaluation folders, check rides, certifications, etc.) of CIPs and SMEs as required.
CIPs will be a current/qualified F-16 simulator instructor pilot. They must maintain instructor pilot qualification via a documented (USAF Form 8 signed by the host unit's command leadership) along with a regular routine evaluation process. CIPs will be able to lead all simulator missions and perform Instructor Pilot of Record duties for all host/guest unit approved syllabus upgrade training missions. The non-flying duties include but are not limited to the following: scenario development, F-16 IOS interface, mission threat scenario management, and debrief execution.
SMEs are required to execute all previously mentioned mission essential non-flying duties in addition to being able to execute flight operations using current Combat Air Force and host unit standards as a wingman. CIP's and SMEs will support missions based on prioritized availability first supporting local pilot training, then ANG pilots that travel to Buckley SFB, CO, for training, then augment as LVC assets in support of LMOC, and finally support Distributive Training Operations Center (DTOC) as training aids, in that order. These support missions can overlap and/or be dual mission undertakings. CIP and SMEs will have the manning and infrastructure capability to simultaneously support the ANG/USAF LVC/OTI enterprise using Live training through the LMOC, Virtual training through the MTT, and Constructive training through DMO networks. Requirements for mission support with outside agencies is based on facility capabilities and accreditation.
Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- A U.S. citizenship
- The possibility to telecommute (Part-time)
- A Bachelor's degree (or additional years of relevant experience in technical, engineering, cybersecurity, or program management fields in lieu of degree)
- At least 12 years of experience
- Prior experience supporting AFMS, or other DoD M&S programs is strongly desired
- The ability to travel 10%
- To provide operational insight and assists in the development and prioritization of requirements, strategy development, capability assessments, analysis of alternatives, documentation development and analysis. Makes recommendations and implements opportunities to mitigate risk.
