Job Description
Serve as a senior system architect on the JTMS platform, applying CACI’s Model-Driven Design and Implementation (MDDI) methodology and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to the S/4HANA-anchored enterprise architecture. Translate joint transportation business processes and architectural intent into authoritative system models that drive design, integration, and verification across the program’s release trains — aligned with DoDI 5000.97 Digital Engineering direction.
Key responsibilities
• Apply CACI MDDI methodology to capture target business processes, system architecture, requirements, and interfaces in a single authoritative system model (Systems Architecture Model / SAM).
• Develop and maintain MBSE artifacts using SysML or equivalent (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Capella, or Rhapsody) covering structure, behavior, requirements, and parametric views of the JTMS platform.
• Translate business architecture into S/4HANA configuration intent: data model, integration topology, and process flow across FI/CO/FM, MM, SD, GTS, and Transportation Management modules.
• Lead integration architecture across REST/SOAP services, enterprise messaging (Kafka or equivalent), API gateways, and the JTMS canonical data model bridging dozens of legacy DoD logistics interfaces.
• Align the architecture to DoDI 5000.97 (Digital Engineering), RMF / NIST 800-53 control families, Zero Trust principles under NIST 800-207, and DoD SRG IL4/IL5 hosting constraints.
• Govern architecture decisions and trade studies across the program’s Agile Release Trains; lead architectural runway planning, model-driven verification approaches, and architecture review boards.
• Mentor functional, integration, and DevSecOps engineers in model-driven design discipline; produce and curate architecture documentation aligned to the program’s configuration management standards.
Required qualifications
• 10+ years of enterprise architecture or systems engineering experience, with at least 3+ years applying MBSE in a large DoD or federal program.
• Hands-on experience with a leading MBSE tool (Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw, Capella, Rhapsody, or equivalent) and SysML proficiency.
• Working knowledge of CACI MDDI methodology or directly equivalent model-driven design / implementation approaches.
• Deep familiarity with SAP S/4HANA architecture: data model, integration patterns, security model, and core supply-chain / financials module boundaries.
• Active DoD clearance at the level required by the JTMS program, or eligibility for clearance (specific level TBD with CACI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred qualifications
• INCOSE CSEP / ESEP certification or equivalent.
• TOGAF or DoDAF working knowledge; prior DoDAF view production for an ACAT-class system.
• Experience designing model-driven verification, test-as-you-build, and automated architecture compliance checks.
• Prior USTRANSCOM, JDDE, or joint logistics modernization architecture experience.
