Engineer (Service Desk / Endpoint Engineering)

Position Summary
Horizon Global Partners (HgP) is seeking an experienced Engineer (Service Desk / Endpoint Engineering) to support a Federal Government customer by designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise Windows and macOS endpoint solutions. This is an engineering role supporting complex endpoint infrastructure, not a Tier 1 help desk position.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, secure, and maintain Windows and macOS workstation images.
• Support VDI and secure remote-access configurations.
• Engineer endpoint baselines using Ivanti, KACE, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and JAMF Pro.
• Manage OS and application patching, image version control, validation, and rollback.
• Implement device enrollment, provisioning, lifecycle, and asset management.
• Support passwordless authentication and hardware-backed credentials (YubiKey/CAC/PIV).
• Configure endpoint logging, SIEM/EDR telemetry, and forensic data collection.
• Develop runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of Information Technology, Endpoint Engineering, or Cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 6 years performing hands-on endpoint engineering (not Tier 1 help desk support).
• Experience with Windows and macOS workstation imaging.
• Experience with Ivanti, KACE, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and JAMF Pro.
• Experience with endpoint baselines, patch management, provisioning, and asset management.
• Experience supporting endpoint logging, SIEM/EDR, and forensic data collection.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Required Credential
Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance required.

• CompTIA Security+
• ITIL Foundation v4
• Jamf Certified Technician or Administrator
