Position Overview
ThinkTek LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Security Help Desk Specialist to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). This position supports DCSA's risk-based industrial security oversight mission by conducting pre-security review research, analysis, and assessment activities in support of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The selected candidate will analyze potential security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations to safeguard cleared defense contractors (CDCs) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
This role requires strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills, along with a thorough understanding of industrial security principles, NISP requirements, and security oversight processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of potential risks affecting cleared defense contractors and Department of Defense programs.
- Identify and report potential vulnerabilities, operational security (OPSEC) concerns, and other security-related issues associated with cleared contractor facilities.
- Review information from commercial databases, government systems, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Publicly Available Information (PAI) sources to support security assessments.
- Identify and document potential violations of 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements.
- Produce professional, well-written analytical reports and other work products while meeting established deadlines.
- Support DCSA's industrial security oversight mission through both on-site and approved telework activities, as required.
- Serve as a security liaison supporting cleared contractor facilities in establishing and maintaining compliant industrial security programs.
- Address complex industrial security issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct administrative inquiries related to serious security incidents and violations.
- Support the integration of counterintelligence methodologies into industrial security program administration.
- Provide counterintelligence-related information, guidance, and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in applicable security systems and databases.
- Collaborate effectively with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to support mission objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one of the following areas:
- Security-related systems such as:
- National Industrial Security System (NISS)
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS) / Joint Verification System (JVS)
- Intelligence, counterintelligence, or a related security discipline.
- Security-related systems such as:
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial security or program management support experience.
- Experience working with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Strong understanding of Operational Security (OPSEC) and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) principles.
- Familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) guidance and directives.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, evaluate, and interpret information from multiple data sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in industrial security, business analysis, intelligence, or counterintelligence.
- Experience supporting DCSA, Department of Defense, or other federal security programs.
- Thorough understanding of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and 32 CFR Part 117 requirements.
- Comprehensive proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Experience conducting security inspections, surveys, audits, inquiries, or investigations involving government or contractor facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to assess compliance with applicable security regulations and policies.
- Strong conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience developing recommendations to mitigate security risks and improve program compliance.
Clearance Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
