Job Description

Duties

  • You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and Fleet Activities.
  • You will assist the Assistant Program Manager Logistics (APML) and Deputy Program Manager Logistics (DAPML) in providing logistics leadership, technical assistance, guidance or direct logistics program management for all weapon Program Sponsors.
  • You will possess the knowledge of all relevant technical manuals, maintenance procedures and acquisition policy and inventory management coordination with the Global Logistics Support (GLS) Center by directing movement of assets.
  • You will develop and manage logistics, program funding requirements, scheduling, and staffing.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

DS-03:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-02 grade level or GS-5-8 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing logistics assistance and technical assistance on logistics topics, issues and concerns; 2) Assisting in the development and periodic updates of various Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) document; 3) Demonstrating familiarity with common framework for acquisition policy, logistics processes, and inventory management.

DS-04:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 grade level or GS-9/10 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and managing ILS documentation and supporting logistics assessments; 2) Demonstrating strong working knowledge of acquisition policy, logistics processes, and inventory management; 3) Providing different programs with logistics technical assistance and guidance for supply support functions on all logistics topics, issues and concerns; 4) Development and periodic updating of all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documents such as; Maintenance Plan (MP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Plan, Item Unique Identification (IUID) Plan and Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT).

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

DS-03:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

DS-04:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
