Cyber Data Analyst (Senior-Level)
Location: Hybrid (National Capital Region)
Work Schedule: Hybrid model with on-site requirements (minimum 3 days/week; full-time onsite flexibility required)
Overview
A large federal-facing organization is seeking a senior Cyber Data Analyst to support enterprise-level cybersecurity operations and reporting. This role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, translating cyber and operational insights into executive-level deliverables, and supporting strategic decision-making across a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze cybersecurity, operational, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights
Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar platforms)
Translate technical cybersecurity information into executive-level briefings, reports, and strategic recommendations
Support enterprise-wide monitoring efforts, including user activity and threat detection analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align analytics with organizational priorities
Contribute to the development of cybersecurity metrics, performance tracking, and reporting frameworks
Support leadership decision-making through data-driven insights and research
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data analytics, or information technology
OR 14+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
Experience with threat monitoring, user activity analysis, or related cybersecurity operations
Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting senior-level or enterprise-wide organizations within a federal environment
Previous experience leading or supporting cybersecurity-focused teams, initiatives, or programs
Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture concepts and implementation approaches
Experience with enterprise tasking or workflow management systems
Strong research and coordination skills with the ability to represent leadership priorities
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, especially in executive-facing environments
