Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Systems Administrator to join an air force communications program in Rome, New York. The systems administrator will work within a growing IT team to support a mission-critical communications infrastructure project.

Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator Includes:
- Manage and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure components
- Monitor system health, identify performance issues, and resolve technical incidents
- Enforce security protocols and maintain system integrity across environments
- Oversee user access, permissions, and system backups/recovery processes
- Develop scripts to automate and streamline system administration and operational tasks
Qualifications of the Systems Administrator Includes:
- 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or similar roles
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux environments, along with networking fundamentals (such as DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, etc.)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
- Security+, Security X, CASP, or equivalent IAT Level II certification
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Compensation of the Systems Administrator Includes:
- Salary Range: 80,000-90,000
- Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, sick leave if required by law, and holidays
