Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking an Assistant Contract Special Security Officer (ACSSO) to support day-to-day security operations across Special Access Program (SAP) and National Industrial Security Program (NISP) activities at a contractor facility.
This position provides administrative and operational support to the Contract Special Security Officer (CSSO) and Facility Security Officer (FSO) in the implementation of established security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities may include support for personnel security, access administration, briefing programs, document control, visitor management, physical security, and related security functions in accordance with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoD Manual 5205.07, applicable SAP guidance, and other customer or agency requirements.
The role reports to the CSSO and FSO and performs assigned duties under established policies, procedures, and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and support submission of Program Access Request (PAR) packages, ensuring required documentation, signatures, and administrative completeness.
- Create, update, and help conduct initial and refresher security briefings, indoctrinations, and debriefings for program personnel.
- Assist the CSSO and FSO with development, review, and maintenance of security documentation, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), access rosters, and internal self-inspections.
- Track and monitor personnel security processing from initiation through adjudication and provide status updates to appropriate stakeholders.
- Support visitor control, safeguarding requirements, classification management, classified meetings, and related physical security activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with alarm system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance, and coordinate after-hours alarm response as assigned.
- Support continuity of routine security operations in the absence of the FSO or CSSO within delegated authority and established procedures, and escalate matters requiring designated official action.
- Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant industrial security experience, including support for NISP, SAP, SCI, or other classified security programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related industrial security and SAP policy guidance.
- Experience with DISS, SWFT, NBIS, NISS, JADS/JADES, and related systems.
- Experience supporting SAP, SCI, or other enhanced security programs.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, leadership, program personnel, and security staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service orientation, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Requirements
- 5+ years of direct security experience in DoD and/or IC environments.
- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and at least five years of direct security experience.
- Prior experience in an AFSO, ACSSO, or security support capacity within DoD or IC environments.
Other Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with a current PVQ date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any additional government accesses required for the position.
