SAIC is looking for a Weapons Systems Manager (WSM) to join our team in Hampton, VA. Daily tactical responsibilities include leading, planning, coordinating, executing, assessing and IT completing computer and information system related tasks across the AOC weapon system. The WSM will directly contribute to the technical content and quality of deliverables and projects within the scope of Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Interface Management, and Baseline Integration.
Additionally, this position supports Government customers by preparing and presenting reports, proposals, and presentations on the status and content of the Weapon System's projects and products.
Responsibilities:
Conducts in-depth research, using qualitative and quantitative techniques and methodologies, to evaluate and interpret substantive training requirements.
Provide recommendations to the Government of necessary changes in training goals or procedures.
Establishes and documents improvement measures, to avoid an adverse effect on current and future operations and training programs.
Generate training materials, scenarios, and vignettes used for Interactive Multimedia Instruction modules.
Ensures delivery of draft and final training materials to the Government IAW the PWS.
Recommends new approaches to efficiently and effectively coordinate and execute support, training, and exercise programs.
Conduct training sessions as directed by the Government.
Assist in the development AOC systems significant events calendar and long-term schedule of events.
Assist in managing the coordination of trouble tickets from creation through resolution.
Assist in managing the control and operation of supporting communications systems and hardware.
Manage the creation/deletion of user system accounts and control system access across all AWS enclaves, as well as manage/coordinate user token account request.
Develop test steps to conduct internal assessments of C2 and non-C2 applications being hosted in the cloud on AWS.
Lead internal assessments of C2 and non-C2 applications being hosted in AWS.
Lead the execution of regularly scheduled maintenance plan.
Coordinate on required system outages.
Provide inputs to weekly briefing slides.
Attend regularly scheduled AppTX meetings and contribute to the various AppTX collaborative tools as applicable.
Coordinate with AppTX Test Managers and Outside Entities on multiple forms of testing of the system (Dynamic, Operations, Vector, Quick-Look, etc.)
Assist in the creation and coordination of development tickets via GitLab as they relate to WSM duties.
Coordinate with government customers as well as sites as to their required systems and versions, and maintain a database of said information
Assist the AppTX Fielding Team in demonstrating capabilities of the system and in onboarding new users/sites to the environment, both remotely and in-person

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS or Master's Degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field or +9 years' experience with AOC Operational experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance, and eligible to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of or experience with JIRA Service Desk (JSD) Trouble Ticket Reporting.
- Ability to acquire Security+ certification.
- Knowledge of or experience with AGILE processes and procedures.
- Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MS Office applications.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in an Air Operations Center (AOC) and general understanding of AOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
- Familiar with AOC C2 systems, their operational use and function and the ability to test functionality of applications and articulate issues and possible causes.
- Experience coordinating work between multiple organizations and departments, with special regard placed on coordinating different military, civilian, and contractor elements.
