Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues. Provides end user training. Users use the DLA Account Management Provisioning System (AMPS) to request access to JAMMEX. Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. Will be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. Performs vulnerability management. Ensures that the system is available to its authorized users upon demand, and that it operates securely and efficiently.
Note: This role is for a proposal. Offer will be contingent upon proposal award which is scheduled for approximately.
Role is remote, but due to meeting requirements DC area preferred.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Set up (provision) accounts for authorized users.
Manage the security functions of the system.
Perform backups as required and verify that backups are successful.
Review system logs and notify the ISSM of any unusual system activities detected.
Ensure users do not perform actions that could degrade system security.
Remove accounts and privileges from the system for users who have left the organization, or whose privileges have been revoked due to disciplinary actions.
Disable inactive accounts.
Perform software installations as needed.
Configure and maintain Operating System (O/S) parameters.
Required Skills/Abilities
Must have experience with Drupal, JBoss, and Solr.
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing
Six years of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions,
Four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software
Computing environment: Must have applicable Application Administrator certifications, per the DLA Approved Cybersecurity Computing Environment (CE) List ((e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Server+, Citrix, LoadRunner, Oracle Infrastructure, Okta, RedHat Systems Administrator, SAP Systems Administration, etc).
U.S. citizenship required
Education and Experience:
IA Level: IAT II Certification
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing
Six years of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions,
Four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software
